Hey busy bees! I'm SUPER excited to share something a little different today!
Since it's FALL and back to school, I know many of us are feeling crunched on time as we swing back into our routines and busy schedules!
A few weeks ago, before I headed back to school, I decided to try out the frozen crockpot meal recipes from Pinterest! I'm kind of picky, so I read a couple blog posts and articles and found some that looked yummy!
Since I love to help you save time and feel super productive, I decided to share this meal prep with you! All you need is a crockpot, an hour of time, and about 50 bucks!
I will say before I start that I had many staple ingredients and spices like salt, pepper, paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, cumin, garlic powder, ketchup, hot sauce, soy sauce etc.
Where to buy:
I got all the ingredients at Aldi for 50 dollars! I know many of my friends love Kroger Clicklist, because you can just type in the ingredients online and pick them up! However, I'm sure the Kroger prices are much cheaper than Aldi. So I spent 50 at Aldi, but it would obviously vary on where you got your groceries :)
I spent about 30 minutes at the grocery store, set everything out on the counter and set a stopwatch as I started making the meals! It took me 57 minutes to do these 6 recipes! Amazing right?!?
Recipes I made:
Where did you find the recipes?
I got ALL the recipes from this AMAZING site:
However, if you click on the recipes I made above, it will take you directly to the link and recipe!
On New Leaf Wellness, she has a wide variety of different frozen crockpot meals to choose from. Some of my favorites are:
Since I got these recipes from all different links, I wrote up a grocery list that I am happy to share with you today! Again, I got all of these with no problem at Aldi! I am not putting exact measurements, because they are all in the recipes! This is just the basics of what you need!
- ground turkey 1 lb.
- large packs of chicken breasts- I got 2
- sweet italian sausage/or pork sausage- ground
- 3 packs of bell peppers (sold in pairs)
- 1 bag of sweet yellow onions
- breadcrumbs- italian
- taco seasoning packet
- condesned tomato soup
- tomato sauce- 28 oz
- petite diced tomatoes
- Worcestershire sauce
- light brown sugar
- 24 oz marinara pasta sauce
- mexican cheese
- Jiffy Cornbread Muffin mix and ingredients on box for that
- tortillas- I like whole wheat!
- Sliders for BBQ sliders- I like potato buns!
- sriracha sauce
- frozen corn
- Spices/Staple ingredients: spices like salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, crushed red pepper flakes, cumin, garlic powder, ketchup, hot sauce, and soy sauce.
Once you buy everything, have your gallon sized plastic bags ready, and a sharpie! Follow the directions for each recipe and squeeze as much of the air out of the bag as possible before putting it in the freezer!
Most of the recipes you just dump in the crockpot and leave for 6-8 hours on low! Also, most items can be served over rice, with chips or as lettuce wraps!
I hope you found this post helpful, and don't forget to share with your friends-especially busy mamas this time of year! Comment below if you're going to try these recipes out! I can't wait to hear what you think!
